Kickstarter is a launchpad for creators to raise funds for the initial production of their creation. Backers (that’s you!) can support the creator by pre-ordering the product at a discounted price.

What does it mean to back a project (pledge)?
When you back a project, you’re pre-ordering the product. That means you’ll get it once it’s produced. Besides getting the product itself, you’re also joining a community. Follow along the production process, take part in important surveys and give the creator valuable feedback.

How do I back the project (pledge)?
In order to pledge, click that green button that says “Back this project”. You’ll get to select your shipping country and choose your desired pledge level and reward.

How do I select add-ons?
If you’ve already selected a pledge tier, you will need to click the “Manage your pledge” button at the top of the Kickstarter page. You will then be asked to confirm your pledge tier or switch to a different pledge tier. Then continue to the next page.
If you haven’t backed yet, the process is the same except you will click the “Back this project” button or click on one of the rewards instead.
In both cases you will then be asked to confirm your pledge tier and underneath the pledge tier will be a list of possible add-ons.
Clicking “Add” or changing the quantity of an add-on will add the corresponding price to your pledge amount and also populate our post-campaign pledge manager with your selection.
Technically you don’t have to use the add-ons and you can just add a dollar amount to your pledge equal to the cost of whatever you want. Your final selection and checkout happen in a pledge manager outside Kickstarter after the campaign ends. This is necessary if you pledged at a tier that gives you a discount on an add-on, like $32 for a plushie or $10 for a coin.
Some rewards are add-on only such as the single pin, the single coin, and the single STL mini packs. If you want the add-on only rewards and nothing else, you can pledge at the $1 tier and add on to your pledge until the pledge amount matches the cost of the add-ons you want. Note that using the add-on system will result in charging you $1 extra due to the tier itself. If you decide to go this route, the $1 can be applied toward tax, shipping, or additional rewards (or otherwise refunded) in the pledge manager.

When is my money collected?
Your money will be collected only after the project ends on Sunday May 15, 2022. If the project is cancelled for any reason, you won’t be charged.

What payment methods can I use?
You can use any debit or credit card associated with Visa, Mastercard or American Express, as well as Discover and JCB cards. Kickstarter does not accept payments with PayPal.

When will I get my pre-order?
The kobold plushies are set to ship in November 2022. Depending on your location, you’ll get them sometime between November and the end of 2022. Please note that this is an estimate, as you’re pre-ordering the product and production delays could arise.

What if I want more than 1 plushie but less than 6?
You can do that with add-ons. Follow these steps: 1) At the top of our campaign page, you should see a banner that says, “You’re a backer! You pledged $x.” That banner should have a “Manage your pledge” button. Click that button. 2) At the bottom of the next screen, click the button that says “Change your pledge.” 3) The next page shows the pledge tier you selected. If you know the cost of all the add-ons you want to add (in this case, $35 a plushie), you can just add the total to the “Bonus support” field and then go through the remaining menus to confirm your new pledge. 4) However, if you don’t want to do all that math, you can leave the “Bonus support” field at $0 and click “Pledge $35” or whatever $ amount your main pledge tier is at. 5) On the next page, you’ll see a section titled “Add-Ons (optional)” and you can select quantities of each which will add the appropriate pricing to your pledge without you needing to calculate it. So you can add-on any number of plushies to your base tier that way. The benefit of using the add-ons over just putting in a number is that we can see the specific add-ons you selected in BackerKit’s pledge manager, reducing the number of extra steps you have to take to check out!
The add-on system applies to any of the rewards, and we may even have some rewards that are only available as add-ons, so make sure to check out the list if you missed it the first time around! Thank you for your support!

How do I tell you which kobold plushie or pin I want?
Shortly after the campaign ends (typically 1-2 weeks), we transfer all your backer data into a pledge manager which will allow you to apply your funds to specific products. If you pledged at a tier that gets you a discount, you will see all the products with the discounted price. If you selected specific rewards where there is no choice, like the inspiration coin or the pin pack, those will automatically be selected. For those where there is a choice, you will be able to make your specific product selections then. You will also be able to order more items if you so desire, or if for some reason you ended up pledging too much due to a math error, you can apply the extra funds toward shipping or get a refund. The pledge manager will also charge sales tax, VAT, and shipping based on the exact items you select.

Do I get physical minis if I pledge for or add-on the mini STLs?
No. Our Kickstarter is currently only offering DIGITAL files for you to 3D print at home using your own printer or to provide someone else to custom print for you. If you only want physical minis, do NOT pay for any of the mini options in this Kickstarter. Instead, you should wait for after the Kickstarter and use one of our recommended options. We will create a page on our website with an up to date list, but right now we have three printing partners. Will you be doing accessory packs so we can change up the kobolds without buying new kobolds?
Yes, we have introduced 3 accessory packs to date that are available as add-ons (and automatically included in the Get It All and higher tiers). These are class packs, meaning they contain a set of gear and clothes that will turn your kobold into a new class. The available packs are currently: barbarian, cleric, and druid.

If I pledge for "all 6 plushies" am I locked into one of each of the red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple kobolds?
No, at all tiers you get to pick the plushies you want. At tiers that promise you a bundle of 6 plushies, can pick any six plushies in the pledge manager including duplicates of a color or design.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
