Happy holidays and new year to our wonderful kobold plushies backer fam! Time flew by this year faster than kobolds on a dragon sleigh.

All plushies, accessory packs, pins, stickers, and coins are currently in stock and ready to ship, so it's not too late to get some last minute Christmas shopping in. The coupon lasts until the end of the year though!
We've added several new kobold-themed shirt designs as well, including ones to highlight each kobold! However, our shirts and minis are printed on demand so they take a little extra time to ship out and cannot arrive by Dec. 25.
Individual pages for each kobold are also up now, with a banner that shows only the products that feature them if you want to double down on your fave.

Also coming soon: we have found a 3D print on demand solution for our STLs from the company that owns MyMiniFactory and only-games.co, which is where most independent mini sculptors have stores. For medium and large minis, we are able to set pricing that is fairly competitive with WizKids' unpainted minis, and the company has worldwide flat shipping rates that are around $12 USD. So we will be able to offer those on our website and all our future mini offerings will have a gray resin option!
The Kobold Bestiary of Friends and Foes
Our latest stretch goal reward is now available on BackerKit. If you didn't get an email about it from BackerKit, you can log in and there should be an option to access all your digital rewards near the top of the screen when you view the Kobold Plushies campaign.
This PDF contains our take on the kobold race for 5e, with the ability to choose your ability score boost and gain a unique trait associated with that boost. It also contains stats for the non-player character figures in the mini STL sets we released, specifically: baby owlbear, dire goat, five-headed kobold, giant battle corgi, goblin knight, gralbliss, and kobold hatchling.
Status updates
We still have two outstanding digital rewards associated with the campaign that are forthcoming. Shep's pet guide will be coming soon and includes rules on how to convert any pet into a full-fledged adventuring companion, plus magic items for your pets and in-world NPCs to perform the magic ritual that transforms your pet.
We are also still developing the encounter for the harvest dragon mini.
As for the next Kickstarter, it has been delayed into next year. We are aiming to offer dice that match our kobolds and are very affordable, and we haven't been able to get prototypes that meet our expectations. While we're super excited to get these products out to you, we don't want to offer anything that falls short of our quality standards.
We are also realizing that large Kickstarter campaigns have a lot of points of delay and failure, so we are looking at pivoting to smaller campaigns that focus on a single product at a time, but that's for after we get Plush Monsters Attack out the door!

Fulfillment Update
At this time, all physical rewards have been shipped for those who provided their addresses through BackerKit. We are so thrilled to see and hear about all the loving homes you are providing your kobolds, pseudodragons, and hedgehogs, as well as the creative ways you've been dressing them up!
If you have not received your rewards, please reach out to us at [email protected]. There's a few possible scenarios:
1) Do you have a tracking number? You can check by logging into BackerKit and accessing your survey. If yes, logging into your account and accessing your survey should show you a tracking number. Please check that tracking number. We had a few packages get returned to sender because the address was not accessible. You should have been emailed about the situation, but if not, please reach out to us with an updated address.
2) Did you fill out your BackerKit survey? We collected addresses, as well as taxes and shipping, using BackerKit, not Kickstarter. You must fill out your BackerKit survey to receive rewards. If you have trouble accessing BackerKit or have questions about the survey, please email us.
3) Did your credit card get successfully charged either on Kickstarter or BackerKit? We should have reached out to you if your card was declined. We have also been prioritizing reaching out to those who did successfully pay on Kickstarter but have not filled out their survey as we don't want people to pay for something and not get it—please check Kickstarter messages or look for emails from [email protected] or [email protected]! However, if your card has been declined on both platforms, we obviously cannot ship your rewards until that is corrected even if you filled out the survey.
There is no time limit (within reason... 100 years might be stretching it) on reaching out to us! If you backed the project, we want you to get your rewards! That said, please do reach out sooner than later.
Digital Stretch Goal Fulfillment
We're excited to make available The Kobold's Little Book of Big Items which contains the digital stretch goals for magic items for all seven of our kobolds! You should have received an email from BackerKit about the digital download being available, or you can access your BackerKit survey for links to all digital downloads associated with our campaign. Please reach out to [email protected] if you have questions or can't find the link.
Feedback is welcome at [email protected]! We are always checking to see if we need to revise any digital content to improve balance or clarify gameplay.
Due to Wizards of the Coast backtracking on the OGL revision and making the 5e SRD available as Creative Commons open source content, we have shifted away from our previously stated intent and will be releasing our digital stretch goals as 5e-compatible content to make it easier for everyone to use. We are using the SRD and not the OGL license for this content.
Remaining outstanding digital content:
- Print and Play reference cards for the magic items in The Kobold's Little Book of Big Items
- Supplement for bringing pets on adventures with you, titled Shep's Guide to Pets Who Don't Go Splat
- NPC and monster stat blocks + print and play reference cards for them
- Harvest Dragon encounter adventure
The next Hero Plush Kickstarter is...
This is going to be a mini-Kickstarter focused on offering fun accessories to accompany your plushies as we continue to prepare for our next big plush Kickstarter. We are hoping to launch the campaign in August but we won't start until we have all the samples and are confident in the quality of the products.
It will include:
- Dice sets, dice bags, and rolling trays themed for each of our existing kobolds with a focus on affordability. We are working to develop high quality but low cost resin dice. We are also developing some unique metal dice sets that will come in at a higher price point, but they will not be paired with a specific kobold.
- Plush Monster dice bags! See that adorable pixiu in our banner art? We're going to be offering four different types of 6-inch plush creatures, each with a pouch inside them accessible via a zippered mouth that can double as cute pets and bags to store dice or other items of similar size! Quick fulfillment update (all regions except Europe complete)

Hey everyone, we have been so excited to see y'all posting about your kobolds arriving at your homes and sharing pictures of them with your family and dressed up to look exactly the way you want them to look!
Shipping
Right now, to the best of our knowledge, all orders except those in Europe have been shipped. A few orders have had address undeliverable or return to sender outcomes, and we are reaching out to those backers by email, so if you haven't received your package yet and you are not in Europe, please check your email or reach out to us at [email protected]
In Europe, we had an unfortunate mixup due to the mail strikes in the UK. The final shipment got returned by customs to the US and is still working its way through the US mail system. This shipment included all the classic Rorys, adoption certificates, and sticker sheets. As a result, all orders containing any of those items have not yet shipped. All European orders that do not contain those items, however, should have shipped.
Right now, we've been advised by GamesQuest that they want to wait for those final items to arrive before shipping out the remaining orders. They've advised it is simpler logistically and also significantly less expensive to do so. However, if you want your order as soon as possible and want us to ship out what's already available now, please let us know at [email protected] and we will manually split your shipping.
Digital stretch goals
You may begin seeing your orders marked as delivered/fulfilled in both Kickstarter and BackerKit even though we have not finished all the digital stretch goals. For both systems, they determine whether a campaign is finished by whether they have fulfilled all physical goals. Additionally, Kickstarter locks the backer management system after one year, so we want to get it in order before that happens.
That said, we are absolutely still working on the digital stretch goals and will continue distributing them via BackerKit as they are completed. Thank you for your patience!
What's next?
We are focused on wrapping up this Kickstarter, but there's a few things you can expect to see from us moving forward:
1) We had two inventor tier backers for this campaign, one for an accessory and one for a pet. You'll see more of the beautiful designs they came up with once we start getting samples! These will be available for purchase once they are completed.
2) We are launching a Pathfinder actual play show called Love & Hate in the Mana Wastes featuring a cast of professional actors and a deep set of original supplemental desert- and steampunk-themed content. We have a little crowdfunding shop up at https://crowdfundr.com/loveandhate where you can buy some perks, affect the game, and help us pay our talented actors and other creators contributing content to the show!
3) We are in the early stages of creating the offerings for the next Hero Plush Kickstarter. Some things you can expect will be dice sets supporting our kobolds, new kobolds, new accessory kits, new pets... and maybe entirely new types of heroes! We're super excited by the possibilities and are so happy to hear that many of you are excited too! We'll share more as soon as we are ready.

Global Delivery Update
Happy Lunar New Year! Like the proverbial bunny jumping into a bright new year, North America has jumped into the lead in our fulfillment race! Remember you can always check the status of our overall fulfillment on our website (https://www.gallantgoblin.com/heroplush/). The warehouse is not equipped to provide us real time updates on their fulfillment status, so the percentage bars are going to represent our best guess and you might see some big jumps as we get incremental updates from them. But we've heard of several backers receiving their plushies already, which is so exciting!
All the kobolds and their gear have also arrived at the Australian fulfillment center. The lovely store owner of RPG Mini Hunter is hard at work packing them all up right now!
Europe has run into some issues receiving the sticker sheets, adoption certificates, and classic Rorys due to strikes occurring in the United Kingdom. The last update we got from them, they will likely ship out everything they currently have and then ship everything that hasn't arrived separately at a later date so that we aren't holding up your orders.

If you have not completed your BackerKit survey yet, we do need you to do so in order for you to get the goodies you ordered. If the shipping or taxes look incorrect to you, please do reach out to us and we will look into it!
In Other News...
Now that fulfillment is almost complete, we've started work on the custom accessories that are being designed by some of our generous backers, and whooo boy, they're looking exciting! They'll be available on our webstore when they're completed later this year!
Our first in-person appearance as Hero Plush will be at Comicpalooza in Houston, Texas from May 26-28! If you'd like to come say hi and possibly pick up some additional kobolds or accessories for them, we'd love to see you there!

Quick but exciting shipping update!

We have an update on our shipments! All the tracking numbers updated super suddenly this week!
Ironically, the US is now furthest behind on our website tracker.
Both the UK and Australia tracking numbers report that the shipments have arrived at the fulfillment centers. We are still waiting for confirmation from our partners in the UK that they have indeed received and processed the boxes. We have confirmation from Australia but due to timing and processing issues they will start shipping the first week of February.
The US shipment is still en route to the warehouse. The tracking number shows an expected delivery date by end of day Thursday January 19.
