Help us Unleash Our Last Surprise!

We really need your help! We have no doubt at all that Yuki will be released from her little cage before the end of this Kickstarter. (The bars have already been bent... somehow.) Kickstarters always get a nice boost at the very end when people tune back in to finalize their pledges. But if we can have her out by Friday night by reaching the $48,000 benchmark, we can unleash one final (?) glorious stretch goal that I think everyone will find very exciting!  If not, the surprise will have to wait for the next Kickstarter. So how can you help?

If you were waiting to see if all 6 plushies would be unlocked before pledging for the set of 6, I can promise you at this point that all six will be made.  Between current pledges, the surge at the end, retailer pledges, and backer-kit pledges, we'll be able to get the last ~$2800 we need to make all six.  So what can be done now to get her out by tomorrow night?

• If you want all 6 plushies, you can feel safe in upping your pledge now!

• Consider adding on the Accessory Packs! Turn your kobolds into a druid, barbarian, and now a cleric!  All packs are available to add-on now for just $14 each, which is the cheapest price they're probably ever going to be outside Kickstarter.  
• If you like most everything you see, consider the Get It All Pledge Tier. The value of that tier keeps going up with all the new stretch goals, and if we get Yuki out by Friday, the final stretch goal, if met, will be a significant addition to that tier for free.   
• Consider adding the Mini STL Files. Check below for a more complete update on those! 

• Don't forget the pin sets! I stonking love our little kobold pins, and I think they'll make you happy too! 
• Help us spread the word! We're running Facebook and Instagram ads, as you may have seen, but nothing means more than a personal endorsement from a friend or family member. If you haven't already, please help us spread the kobold joy! 

Cleric Pack Updates

The Cleric Accessory Pack is available now! Here are the results of the poll.

So our Cleric pack will include a mace, unique shield, shoulder armor, white cleric clothing, and a necklace holy symbol!  We're attempting to get some initial sketches ASAP, but we're not sure if they'll be available by the end of the Kickstarter. If you know this is something you'd like to pick up, you can add it onto your pledge now by clicking the "Manage Your Pledge" button! 

Mini STL Files Update

We know STL files are rather confusing, but we want to make it as simple as possible for you to print and use our minis.  We're getting them professionally pre-supported By TableFlip Foundry (you can find more details on the main page in the Minis Preview section), so you can get them to your table with as little fuss as possible.  You can see how easy it'll be in this little video:

Mini Merchant License

We are also offering a limited (3) number of merchant licenses for people with a small business who want to print and sell our mini designs.  You can see our terms here. If you'd like to pick up our merchant license, it's available as an add-on to the campaign. You'll also need to choose a tier that includes the minis or add them on to your order.  

Play in a kobold-themed game with GM Theo

Looks like our first game filled up, so we're opening up another one! If you'd like to participate in an online 5e game this summer GMed by Theo from the Gallant Goblin, you can add that on to your Kickstarter pledge as well for $75! I'm expecting it to be a three-hour game played on Zoom with a VTT. It should be a ton of fun and I hope to see you there! (And you can add on multiple "tickets" if you want to bring a friend).

Which Class Wins the Day?

It came down to one vote, but our winner for the next accessory pack was Cleric!  

It was certainly close.  The Artificer / Inventor came in a very close second, and the Paladin/Champion and Bard tied for third.  Don't despair Artificer/Inventor fans! We hear you and we're all about crafting a very fun and creative Kobold Inventor Plushie or Accessory Pack (or both) one day! It may be a blessing in disguise that it didn't win this particular poll as it'll give us more time to craft what's sure to be a complicated set of items! And thank you all for voting! We're hoping to have all the classes covered eventurally! (Theo was rooting for the witch!) 

Build-A-Cleric

Now it's time for the last poll in our series! We need to design this Cleric pack.  The following poll will ask you about weapons, items, armor, holy symbols, and color schemes.  We do have to reserve the right to make alterations to the final pack based on what our manufacturer indicates is possible, but we don't foresee any particular problems with any of the options we've put forth here.  So click the link below to let us know what you'd like to see!

Updated Mini STL Previews

If you were interested in the mini STL files on offer, go check the main campaign page for preview prints and videos and a free sample of the Yuki mini you can print yourself, so at least she'll be out of the cage in your home games!   

The minis will all come professionally pre-supported, so all you'll have to do is load them up and hit print! We also point you in the direction of a great calibration tool for your resin printer to make sure you get the best results!  Check them out and let us know what you think!

Community Accessory Pack Update

The votes are in!  And our winner by a large margin is the Class Pack!

The next step is deciding which class we're basing the pack around.  As a reminder, we currently already have a druid and barbarian pack that you can add on to your pledge!  Vote now on which class gets the next accessory pack!

Sticker Sheet 3: Kobold Pets

For the $38000 stretch goal, we said we would make a 3rd sticker sheet add-on available. That reward is now active and available for $10, just like the previous two. This sticker sheet contains a number of cute kobolds and pets, some created from the suggestion that we make stickers out of all the early bird freebie options that didn't get selected! So we may see pet plushies of some of these little ones some day. Let us know which ones are your favorites!  Since we've had to source some new art for some of the suggestions, the sticker sheet isn't complete yet, but here's a preview of the cute cuddlies we've put together so far so, which we think is representative enough for you to decide whether you want to add-on this sheet:

Item Card Style Options

We are in the process of designing the looks of the print-and-play cards. Right now, we're playing with two design options for the art side: one that looks like a sticker scrap book and another that's a more traditional art:

What do you think? Which one is more appealing to you? Any changes you'd like to see for them? We will also be adding a black-and-white printer-friendly version with minimal detail for those who want to print at home and minimize ink use.

Conclusion

We're closing in on the end of the campaign here! We still have a couple of surprises that we'd love to include in this project (and if you've been paying attention to some of the hints we've been sprinkling around the campaign, you may have some educated guesses about what they are), but it all comes down to getting Yuki out of the cage soon! So, sharing the project with your friends and family, adding on items that interest you, and helping to improve our engagement (by leaving comments and clicking the like button on our updates) will all help a lot! Clarifications on Physical vs Digital versions of our minis

Do our mini rewards include physical minis?

No, they do not. This is very important. If you paid for any of the STL tiers only wanting physical minis, please remove those add-ons/switch to another pledge tier. We are only offering DIGITAL files for you or someone else to 3D print. Note that many 3D printing Etsy shops do offer a Custom Request option where you can ask them to print your files, and that is an option you can pursue as well.

How to get physical minis

Physical versions of our minis are only being offered after the Kickstarter ends. Payment for physical minis is NOT in the scope of this Kickstarter. We have currently licensed two merchants to provide printing options for the US and UK. 

For US addresses: TableFlip Foundry

We are thrilled to announce a partnership with TableFlipFoundry, which has an Etsy storefront and is both a high quality, reputable printer and an expert at creating supports for STL files. They will be presupporting and modifying all the STLs sculpted by our Forg3D MNL artists to ensure maximum compatibility with 3D printers available for consumers. All the minis from this Kickstarter will be available for purchase directly from their Etsy storefront after the campaign ends.

$40k!!!! Another kobold has made it out and— BOOM!

We did it! We reached the $40000 stretch goal to free one more kobold. Who did you vote for?...

It was not a close vote. Poor Yuki.

But wait, when last we checked in on our kobold cage, Flick was noticing dark shadows moving in the cage. He got out safely, but his buddy Yuki...

With only a week left in the campaign, will the #SaveYuki campaign make it in time??? Well... here's a look at what's coming up in the campaign:

Upcoming Stretch Goals

We've hit the point where we are spacing our stretch goals out by every $2000 instead of $1000. This lets us focus on delivering quality content for each remaining goal as well as make them bigger and better:

•  $42000: We always planned to release, for free, pregenerated playable character sheets for each of our kobolds, and new kobold playable race rules. But at $42000 we'll condense those rules into NPC cards for each of our kobolds and some of the new ones you've only seen in sticker and mini format so far so that they can show up in your games as allies or introduce interesting new combat archetypes as foes.
•  $44000: With stats and story created, we'll also be able to upgrade the backing cards for our kobold plushie pins to include some of that information, making them usable as reference items!
•  $46000: How does a rogue make friends with cute pets? Well Shep is getting ready to reveal his animal whisperer secrets in a digital product called Shep's Pamphlet of Pets that Don't Go Splat in which he provides mechanics on taming and training both magical creatures and regular beasts, as well as items and spells that help them survive combat situations and contribute to the party in minor but interesting ways. If your adventuring group is more zoo than party, they'll love the new options that Shep's observations bring to the table! Shep's Pamphlet is free and automatically added to all tiers, including the $1 Support Tier.

But at the other $1000 marks, we'll update the story going on in the kobold cage, and that story is affected by how quickly we free Yuki! The optimal outcome occurs if we can unlock Yuki before the 72 hour mark of the campaign (that's 11:59pm Eastern UTC-4 on Thursday May 12).

 Projects We Love

Our fellow YouTuber Nonat1s is a major voice in the Pathfinder community, and he's worked together with some very talented writers with experience in both Pathfinder 2e and D&D 5e to develop Sinclair's Library for both systems. The campaign consists of two separate books: the Codex of NPCs and foes and the Almanac of player options. Plus amazing artwork, minis, and other goodies! The books were led by Tabletop Obscura and one of our buddies, James Beck aka Osiris of deadly d8, was also a writer for the project.
